Timeless Style with Thoughtful Impact

Here at Betsy & Adam, we strive to create timeless fashion while being mindful of our environmental impact. Our commitment to conscious fashion practices means that you can confidently invest in garments that will last an entire lifetime, if not beyond. This is proven with the amount of our gorgeous vintage dresses that still exist in resale shops today, paired with stories of people passing their dresses down to their kids to be worn again and again for life’s big moments. By choosing Betsy & Adam, you’re making a choice for both quality and responsible production.

Our Commitments:

1. Sustainable Materials

We prioritize sustainability in our fabric choices. Our fabrics come from sustainable mills that use natural or low-impact dyes, reducing chemical usage and pollution. We also incorporate fabrics made from recycled yarns and materials, giving new life to otherwise wasted resources. By choosing our products, you’re supporting eco-friendly practices and responsible sourcing.

2. Fair Labor Practices

We are committed to fair labor practices. All of our factories comply with local laws and are WRAP-approved, ensuring that workers are paid fairly and provided with safe working conditions. When you shop with us, you’re making the choice to support ethical manufacturing and the well-being of workers.

3. Local Manufacturing

Betsy & Adam is located in the historic NYC Garment District, and so we produce roughly 50% of our garments here. This reduces carbon emissions associated with transportation and supports the local workforce and economy. Your dress purchase can then go towards helping to promote local manufacturing and sustainability right here in New York City.

4. Waste Reduction

At Betsy & Adam, we are committed to minimizing waste by shipping all our dresses with fully recyclable materials, including sturdy boxes and hangers. We encourage our customers to continue using or recycling their packaging to help us further reduce environmental impact. By choosing our products, you’re contributing to a more sustainable future.

5. In the Works: Dress Donation

We are excited to announce that we’re working on a dress donation program. Excess inventory that can’t be sold online will be given to shelters and other clothing donation organizations, helping to ensure that these items don’t end up in a landfill like so many other garments do. By supporting us in this initiative, you’re contributing to a more sustainable and generous fashion industry.
